We are a family, forged in battle. We have a responsibility to care for each other. Buddy-to-Buddy is the best way I know how.

Seeking veterans interested in assisting West Virginia service members and veterans in their communities
No one can be a better source of support than a veteran who’s been there. We are seeking veterans to help service members and veterans link to financial, educational, health care, and counseling resources. If you are a veteran willing to donate your time to an amazing cause, the Buddy-to-Buddy Volunteer Veteran Program is looking for you.
As a Volunteer Veteran, we will provide you with training in communication skills and available community resources in West Virginia. The time commitment required is a minimum of 2-3 hours per week and one weekend day per month. Responsibilities include: attendance at assigned Armories once per month on drill weekends, providing telephone support to military service members, regular engagement in weekly support calls with other volunteers, and attendance at military events when possible.
Volunteers are not expected to know every resource, or have all the answers. The Program staff will always be available to support and guide Volunteer Veterans as they assist their fellow service members.
